Make each task checkable
Write each task so you can tell whether it was done: “replace kitchen faucet cartridge” beats “fix leak”. For rentals, put the unit and the access rules on the order, and keep a copy with the maintenance record for the unit. It protects you and the contractor if the scope is questioned later.
