Frequently asked questions

Should I write to every bureau?

Send a dispute to each credit reporting company whose report contains the error. Do not assume a letter to one company starts a dispute with all of them.

Can this remove accurate negative information?

No guaranteed removal is offered. This letter requests investigation of information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.

Should I also contact the creditor?

You may also dispute directly with the company that supplied the information. Use the direct creditor dispute generator for that separate recipient.
