Super Bowl squares, online and shareable
Set up a free 100-square pool, send one link, and watch the grid fill in as friends pick their squares. Random number draw and quarter-by-quarter winners included.
How the online pool works
Step 1
Create the pool
Name it, pick the teams and the price per square, and choose how the pot is paid out.
Step 2
Share one link
Send it to the group chat. Each person types their name and taps the squares they want.
Step 3
Draw the numbers
When the board is full, draw random digits 0–9 for each team, or type in your own. The board locks.
Step 4
Enter the scores
After each quarter or game, type in the score. The winning square lights up for everyone.
How Super Bowl squares are scored
Only the last digit of each team’s score counts. If the score at halftime is 17–14, the winner is the square where the top team’s 7 meets the side team’s 4. A 24–10 final pays the 4 and 0 square. Use the full score when you enter it and the board works out the digits for you.
Most pools pay four times: end of the first quarter, halftime, end of the third quarter, and the final score, overtime included. Want to keep it exciting for everyone? Turn on new numbers for each quarter so every square gets a fresh pair of digits.
Why the numbers are drawn last
Some digits come up far more than others. See the squares odds for the real numbers. Drawing after every square is taken keeps the pool fair. The draw uses a secure random shuffle on our server, so the organizer can’t pick it either, or you can type in numbers you drew from a hat.
FAQ
How do Super Bowl squares work?
A 10 by 10 grid gives 100 squares. One team runs across the top and the other down the side. Players claim squares, then the numbers 0 through 9 are drawn at random for each side. At the end of each quarter, the square that matches the last digit of each team’s score wins.
How are payouts calculated?
The pot is the price per square times the number of squares taken. You choose how it splits across the first quarter, halftime, third quarter, and final score. 25% each quarter is the most common, and many pools give the final score a bigger share.
What are the best numbers in Super Bowl squares?
In NFL final scores since 2000, 0 and 7 are the most common last digits, followed by 4 and 3. 2 and 5 are the rarest. Because numbers are drawn after picks, every square has the same chance going in.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no per-grid fee and no account needed. Create the pool, share the link, and run it start to finish for free. Signing in is optional and only saves the pool to your account so you can manage it from any device.
How do I share the pool with friends?
After you create the pool you get a share link. Send it by text, group chat, or email. Anyone with the link can open the board, type their name, and tap open squares. Taken squares fill in for everyone within a few seconds.
When should the numbers be drawn?
After the squares are taken, so nobody can choose a square that already has good numbers. Draw at random with one tap, or type in numbers you pulled from a hat. Once numbers are set, players can no longer change their squares.
What if someone takes a square and never pays?
Turn on approval so new picks stay pending until you approve them, mark each square paid as money comes in, and remove names that never pay. A join code keeps out anyone who was forwarded the link.
Does this collect or pay out money?
No. Add your Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal and players get a button that opens the app with their amount filled in, so money goes straight to you. The board tracks who has paid. Check the rules where you live before playing for money.
Can I use it for a fundraiser?
Yes. Set a share of the pot for your school, team, or charity, and the board shows the cause and pays winners from the rest.
