Fixed APRs and monthly interest at APR ÷ 12; no fees or new borrowing. The monthly budget stays constant: starting minimums plus your extra payment. Paid-off debts free money for the remaining debts. Update balances and minimums from your statements when you return.
Snowball or avalanche?
The snowball approach directs extra payments to the smallest remaining balance. The avalanche approach directs them to the highest APR. Both keep paying the entered minimums on other debts and roll freed-up payments into the remaining balances.
This calculator reorders debts each month using their current balances and APRs. It keeps your total monthly budget fixed, even after a debt is paid off. It is an estimate for fixed-rate debts, without new borrowing, fees, promotional-rate changes, or daily-interest calculations.
