PNC Direct Deposit Form

Updated October 8, 2026 · PNC Bank, N.A.

Quick answer

The fastest way is the PNC Mobile app, which sets up direct deposit with your employer without a form or account number. If your employer needs paper, download PNC’s Direct Deposit Enrollment Form from pnc.com, fill it in, and attach a voided check from your PNC account.

How to get a PNC direct deposit form

  1. 1Download the Direct Deposit Enrollment Form from PNC’s direct deposit page on pnc.com.
  2. 2Fill in your name, the PNC routing number, your account number, and the account type. Both numbers are in Online Banking and the app.
  3. 3Attach a voided check from your PNC account if your employer asks for one.
  4. 4Give the form to your employer or payer.

Other ways to set up PNC direct deposit

In the PNC Mobile app, you can set up direct deposit securely with no form to fill out and no account number to provide.

If your employer has its own form, use it instead of PNC’s.

What goes on a direct deposit form

Every employer’s form looks a little different, but they all ask for the same details. A pre-filled form from your bank covers the bank details for you. You add the rest.

Your name and address
As they appear on the bank account.
Bank name
The bank that holds the account. App-based accounts often list a partner bank instead of the app’s name.
Routing number
The nine-digit number that identifies the bank. Copy it from the form, a check, or your account details, not from a search result.
Account number
Your checking or savings account number.
Account type
Checking or savings.
Amount
Your whole paycheck, a percentage, or a fixed dollar amount, if your employer allows a split.
Signature and date
Your authorization for the employer to deposit into the account.

Some employers also ask for a voided check. If you do not have paper checks, a bank-generated form that shows your account and routing numbers usually works instead. Ask payroll what they accept.

Keep your direct deposit safe

A direct deposit form contains everything needed to send money to your account, so share it only with your employer’s payroll or HR team, through the channel they normally use.

Be wary of emails or texts asking you to “update” your direct deposit details, even if they look like they come from HR. Payroll diversion scams use fake requests to redirect paychecks. Confirm any change in person or through your employer’s official payroll portal.

Use your PNC deposits as proof of income

Once your paycheck lands in PNC, those recurring deposits are a record of what you earn. Landlords and lenders often ask for recent statements. Our guide to getting a PNC statement shows where to download them.

If you would rather not send every transaction, connect your PNC account and create an income report from your bank deposits. It shows your recurring deposits and an estimated monthly income, straight from the bank.

PNC direct deposit FAQ

Does PNC have a pre-filled direct deposit form?
PNC’s app sets up direct deposit without a form. For paper, PNC offers a blank Direct Deposit Enrollment Form that you fill in yourself.
How long does PNC direct deposit take to start?
It depends on your employer’s payroll schedule. A new direct deposit often takes one to two pay cycles to start, so keep an eye on your first paycheck and pay stub.
Can I use a PNC direct deposit to prove my income?
Yes. Once your pay lands in your PNC account, the recurring deposits show up on your statements, and you can connect the account to an income report that summarizes them for a landlord or lender.
