How the online pool works

  1. Step 1

    Create the pool

Name it, pick the teams and the price per square, and choose how the pot is paid out.

  2. Step 2

    Share one link

Send it to the group chat. Each person types their name and taps the squares they want.

  3. Step 3

    Draw the numbers

When the board is full, draw random digits 0–9 for each team, or type in your own. The board locks.

  4. Step 4

    Enter the scores

After each quarter or game, type in the score. The winning square lights up for everyone.

The in-state rivalry comes to the Big House this year, with the Paul Bunyan Trophy on the line. Kickoff time is still to be announced, so set up the pool now and let people claim squares during the week.

Make it a house-divided pool

Squares are pure luck once the numbers are drawn, so Wolverines and Spartans fans compete on even ground. Add a join code so only your group can pick, turn on approval if you want to confirm who has paid, and add your Venmo or Cash App so everyone can pay in one tap.

FAQ

When is Michigan vs. Michigan State in 2026?

Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. The kickoff time and TV network had not been announced as of late October.

Which team goes across the top?

The pool starts with Michigan, the home team, across the top and Michigan State down the side. You can swap them before you create the pool.

Do college football squares work the same as the NFL?

Yes. Only the last digit of each team’s score counts, and most pools pay at the end of each quarter. Turn on new numbers each quarter if you want every square to get more than one shot.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no per-grid fee and no account needed. Create the pool, share the link, and run it start to finish for free. Signing in is optional and only saves the pool to your account so you can manage it from any device.

How do I share the pool with friends?

After you create the pool you get a share link. Send it by text, group chat, or email. Anyone with the link can open the board, type their name, and tap open squares. Taken squares fill in for everyone within a few seconds.

When should the numbers be drawn?

After the squares are taken, so nobody can choose a square that already has good numbers. Draw at random with one tap, or type in numbers you pulled from a hat. Once numbers are set, players can no longer change their squares.

What if someone takes a square and never pays?

Turn on approval so new picks stay pending until you approve them, mark each square paid as money comes in, and remove names that never pay. A join code keeps out anyone who was forwarded the link.

Does this collect or pay out money?

No. Add your Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal and players get a button that opens the app with their amount filled in, so money goes straight to you. The board tracks who has paid. Check the rules where you live before playing for money.

Can I use it for a fundraiser?

Yes. Set a share of the pot for your school, team, or charity, and the board shows the cause and pays winners from the rest.
