What this draft covers
Record who lives in the home, each person’s rent and deposit contributions, utilities, and household rules. The rent-share check helps catch amounts that do not add up before you print.
This is a general discussion template, not a lease or a determination of legal rights. Local requirements and the existing lease can affect what residents may agree to. For a Michigan example, the state legislature’s tenant and landlord guide includes a sample roommate agreement. Review the wording and obtain appropriate advice before relying on it.
Review together, then print
The owner can save and edit the draft. A live sharing link gives roommates view-only access to the latest saved version. Signatures are completed outside this tool; it does not provide electronic signing.
Work out the shares with the rent split calculator and keep shared expenses in the bill splitter.
