Invoice Due Date Calculator

Find the due date for an invoice. Pick the invoice date and the payment terms, such as Net 30 or Due on receipt, and get the exact date, the weekday, and how far away it is.

Pick an invoice date.

How terms work

  • Net N: due N days after the invoice date
  • Due on receipt: due the day the invoice is issued
  • Net N EOM: due N days after the end of the invoice month

Example. An invoice dated March 1 on Net 30 terms is due March 31. On Net 30 EOM it is due 30 days after March 31, which is April 30.

Things to check

  • Net 30 counts calendar days, not business days, and includes weekends. If the date lands on a weekend, many businesses pay on the next business day, but the terms stay the same.
  • Write the terms on the invoice, such as Net 30, so the due date is not a debate.
  • Shorter terms get you paid sooner. Net 15 or Net 7 suit small jobs and new customers.
