What a private lender can review
The report organizes bank-deposit activity into an estimated monthly income view, deposit history, identified income sources, and connected-account balances. That gives a lender a consistent record to compare with the application and other documents in the file.
Cash-flow data can add information beyond traditional credit history. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has described checking- and savings-account inflows, outflows, and accumulated amounts as potentially useful additional information, while also noting that more research is needed.
